Mark Abraham has been designing, installing and cultivating food-focused productive gardens in the urban landscape for over a decade, getting shovels in the ground in both Northern California and SoCal.

Earning his Permaculture Designer’s certificate through the Urban Permaculture Institute of San Francisco in 2010, his focus has been in growing and educating his clients to new foods and empowering them to continue stewarding their spaces themselves. You can count on him dishing up new recipes, collaborating new ideas in the field, and sharing his knowledge and experiences!

Course description: Learn some cool planting and design strategies to create resilient landscapes and productive gardens to meet your needs and that work in your growing zone. Participants will walk away with a permaculture inspired landscape design of their own creation, with ideas on a roadmap to growing their own garden oasis. Research and information relating to soil management and strategies for improving soil fertility will be discussed, along with composting and greywater options, with time for participant questions and skill sharing.
